ORIGIN OF FUSILLI
Fusilli was originally crafted by rolling a piece of hand rolled spaghetti pasta around a knitting needle and rolling the pasta and needle between the hands, making it “fusilli al ferretto”.
Our version is a double helix spiral and can be referred to as "little spindles". Triple helix spiral pastas are often called Rotini, or Spirale- they are similar, but not quite the same.
